There was a moment in my life when I realized that books could really move me. Not just in emotions, but in a way where I physically felt as if I were within the pages. I was able to discover things about myself with the characters of the stories I was reading. When I was younger, I remember borrowing a whole stack of books, both long and short, from the library every weekend; my school bag was always too heavy! It was a time that I cherished. To listen to the silence and hear the world.
I realize it makes little sense in the rational way that sense is supposed to make, but if you think about it, in the silence of nature there is a melody that is always heard and I feel the same about the silence of a library. It isn’t an awkward silence like in a government building or the disconcerting silence of a hospital. The silence of a library is a silence that can and should be broken with the humble curiosity of any age or expertise. That is what Time for Another Book is all about. Curiosity.
Curiosity Doesn’t Always Kill the Cat!
Many people think hope or time other people are what drives us in life. I think I could disagree and say that curiosity is what drives us. From before the time we take our first breath of life, we are curious. We kick and punch and push our way around until we are finally free and able to breathe. Then we begin the real curiosity! The wandering and crawling. The pulling and yelling. The questions and the excitement we feel throughout our life is built from curiosity. Sure, hope and time and our loved ones can also push us to be better, but we are our own force and that force is all stemmed from curiosity. Curiosity is what builds our minds into who we want to become.
So, with all that said, why wouldn’t you, as a reader, be curious about the millions of different lives you could be a part of or the different worlds you could visit? Just because it isn’t on a map in front of you, depicting what you recognize as the planet Earth doesn’t mean you don’t have the time for a quick trip an ethereal, dystopian, futuristic, or even a simple romantic world where there is chaos and victory driven by passion or hate.
Explore Your Curiosity
Time for a Book explores all worlds and genres. It will delve into the romantic hearts, the world of the paranormal, the realms of science fiction, the magic of fantasy, the terror of mystery and crime; together, we will delve into the realms of any book that piques the curiosity.
All of this is meant to feel as if there is a conversation or as if you are reading a story about a story. There will be no structure or time restraint – no word count requirement or restriction – maybe only a little big of editing. No matter what you read, take into account that this is simply a portrayal of my own curiosity about a book or series of books. Maybe it starts off with a recount of the characters or perhaps I couldn’t get through the terrible editing that was done or maybe I couldn’t put the book down and in the beginning, middle and end I keep saying how much I loved the world I went into; just remember that opinions are just about as good as curiosity and no one should feel as if judgement is being passed. Reading is a passion and with passions comes both love and hate.

Curiosity Imagery
There’s something to be said about personally creating some art that depicts how it makes you feel. So, I decided to do just that. At the top and bottom of each Curiosity, I include an image that I have created, specifically designed for each unique read. I do my best to create the same sort of emotion that the book gave me when reading it. Sometimes they make sense, but I will admit that other times they don’t! But hey, whoever said emotions had to make sense, right?
My personal photograph library is a little bit limited in some areas of imagery, but I am a relatively creative person. The limited resources simply gives me a chance to be more creative and finagle a different way of expressing the strongest emotion I felt while reading each Curiosity. I hope they give you something more to be curious about!
Now, if you are all ready to start… I think it’s time for a book!
