Betrayed by Love or Family? Find the Answer in The Necromancer’s Betrayal

the necromancer's betrayal

The Necromancer’s Betrayal. Curious One?  This is a book to keep on your shelf!  I’m aware that I tend to not like shorter books, but Becca Andre did this one right!  It’s packed full of intrigue, mystery, adventure and just enough romance to not be driven by pesky hormones.  It’s perfectly balanced and I couldn’t fault much of anything about The Necromancer’s Betrayal.

Wolf’s Bane by Aimee Easterling – A True Shifter Mystery

Wolf's Bane

This was a good one, Curious One!  I took my own advice and did some research.  I found a collection of five books, written by individual authors that all centered around shifters.  The first book, Wolf’s Bane by Aimee Easterling revolves around two sisters who are secretly fox shifters (kitsune) and a particular alpha wolf who isn’t the leading alpha of the pack.  I will try to keep these all a bit shorter than usual too.

Cursed – An Evans Pack Trilogy by Claire Farrell

Ooookay, Curious One.  I promised I would hit some shifter books after the last long haul of suspense, but I have to admit my first pick was not quite what I wanted.  That’s what I get though, for hitting up a short series centered around dramatic High School.  You could say I’m…Cursed!

Even if it was based in the good old land of Ireland.  So, before I dig into this series here, I want to apologize and promise once more that I will keep reading these shifter books until I can find one that I loved!

Without further ado, let’s get started on Claire Farrell’s complete edition of Cursed: An Evans Pack Trilogy.  Verity, Clarity, Adversity (a novella from Amelia’s point of view) and Purity.

Still Waters by Tami Hoag – A Disappointment

It’s been a couple hours now since the last page of this book and I am in the middle of a battle here, Curious One.  Tami Hoag’s Still Waters is my discussion of choice today and I can’t believe I’m gonna say this, but I was a bit disappointed in it.  If I’m asked who my top crime and suspense authors are, I would have definitively included Tami Hoag in my list.  Still Waters, however, is definitely not among them.

Still Waters begins with the introduction of Elizabeth Stuart walking down a gravel road in expensive clothes with spike heels after her car broke down.  She literally stumbles into a crime scene and a dead body falls onto her feet.

The Crawling Darkness – Where Your Fear Haunts You!

The Crawling Darkness

I’m so sorry, Curious One!  I couldn’t help myself!  I really wanted the next look into J.L. Bryan’s Ghost Trapper world!  I literally was itching to continue reading the series, so I went ahead and divulged.  The Crawling Darkness couldn’t have been better!  Again, like with the second book, I was skeptical on it keeping me fully entertained and not becoming a repetitive series that changes names and houses and entities, but doesn’t change anything else.
