We are going to start Valentine’s week with some good ol’ paranormal ghost hunting, Curious One. Let’s dig into the world created by J.L. Bryan with his Ellie Jordan, Ghost Trapper series. Today we will focus on book one as Ellie Jordan takes on a haunted mansion with new colleague Stacey and the newly skilled psychic Jacob who was thrust upon her by her boss.

Well, we made it Curious One! The final book of the Dusk Gate Chronicles that I have, Blooms of Consequence, did not disappoint! Whoo! There was so much going on! At the end of the last book, Thorns of Decision, we were left wondering what would happen with the gate. The four of them, Thoman, Linnea, Will and Quinn were going to accompany Nathaniel to Quinn’s world to keep Linnea safe from Tolliver’s kidnapping attempts. However, before they could cross over, there were Philothean refugees camped out all over the area, so they were left to stay in the castle.

Okay, Curious One. I’m moving through the first four books of the Dusk Gate Chronicles by Breeana Puttroff fairly quickly! They are crazy good reads! This post is going to sort through the third book, Thorns of Decision. If it wasn’t hinted at by the title, you are aware that some prickly instances may happen throughout the book. Some hard feelings are felt, and some decisions are made that begin a trail of pain and new beginnings.

Roots of Insight, book two in the Dusk Gate Chronicles picked up the day after Quinn crossed the gate back into Bristlecone, CO from Eirentheos at the end of Seeds of Discovery. You get a quick glimpse of how difficult it is for her to switch back into homework mode after being gone for 10 days.

Curious One! Hey there! So, I’m diving right into a series by author Breeana Puttroff. It’s called the Dusk Gate Chronicles. For the next couple weeks, I’m going to be immersed into her world with these amazing characters. I only have the first four books of her series so far and before I have even begun the second book, I can already tell you that I will eventually read all of them (8 books and 2 companion novellas). However, for now, I’m thrilled to start on what I have available!
The first book is called Seeds of Discovery and if you haven’t read it yet, I promise you, Curious One, you should. I mean, as almost always, the first book in a lengthy series spends a bit of time sorting out characters and building plot lines for future moments in the upcoming books, but you couldn’t be disappointed in Seeds of Discovery if you tried!

I want to start off today by saying this was a unique adventure that couldn’t have gone more unexpected if I had planned it! These last couple weeks I have been pretty busy and though it took me forever to get through, I absolutely loved it! We are going through a unique curiosity for me… it’s called Mankind: Have a Nice Day! A Tale of Blood and Sweatsocks.
I know, what a title, right?! It was written by Mick Foley himself. Now, if you aren’t aware of anything remotely involved with professional wrestling, this will be a unique curiosity to delve into. It was unique to me even and I have if not a quiet and reserved passion for wrestling, I would definitely call it a respect for professional wrestling.

Sooooo… What do you think of this novel, Curious One? I’m gonna start off by saying that Degree of Guilt, written by Richard North Patterson is one of the most intense novels I have read when it comes to raising questions of personal ethics and morals. Literally every page is full of questions, lies, half-truths, concerns and confusion. Honestly, even with my personal struggle regarding half the content, I loved Degree of Guilt.
I’ve never read or been too interested in courtroom-based novels, but I’m glad I read Degree of Guilt. It was suggested to me by a friend, and I will definitely say it was worth it.
