So, I keep thinking that this series will get – even the slightest bit – boring or be difficult for me to continue to be immersed in, but I feel that it may be impossible. A.L. Knorr has once again done a remarkably beautiful job depicting the Earth Elemental – also knows as a Wise – in her third book of the Elemental Origins series. Born of Earth has gone beyond the salty waters and fiery passion of the first two novels, Curious One and I am imploring you to find this collection and get to reading so you understand my complete and unhinged curiosity about the Elemental Origins series!

Curious One? If you haven’t gotten the Elemental Origins series by A.L. Knorr yet, you have GOT to stop waiting! This series needs to immediately be moved to the #1 spot on your list of books to read!! I am very serious! This is the discussion about my curiosity for Pyro: A Fire Novella – the companion novella to Born of Fire.
So, I thought I was in love with A.L. Knorr already, but man, it has been notched up even more. I know I have said this in my previous discussions before, but how much more realistic can this whole Elemental Origins environment get??!

Alright, Curious One. If you are still with me for my discussions on the Elemental Origins Series, I am impressed! I have just finished the second book of the series by A.L. Knorr, titled Born of Fire. Again, the author has impressed me! I will admit to you that even though this one made me cry for a moment, I enjoyed the first book a bit more.

Alright, Curious One. I just completed the first companion novella which belongs to Born of Water – from the Elemental Origins series – titled The Wreck of Sybellen. I just need to say, “Whoa.” I mentioned this novella during my Born of Water discussion you hopefully read.
Okay, first off, I’m gonna say that I LOVED how it was entirely written in journal format from Aleksandra Novak (you have an idea who she is if you read Born of Water). It was a wonderful break-up from the main storyline that still held relevance and pulled you in. It also directly picked up where Targa left off in the final sentence of Born of Water; where she opened the translated journal pages to begin reading.

Are you ready for Born of Water, Curious One?
WOW!!! This first book in the Elemental Origins Series by A.L. Knorr blew me out of the water!! No pun intended! Full of mermaid lore, old shipwrecks, sea-life communication and a reveal of powers, I had the hardest time putting it down! The entire novel felt like one of the most realistic mermaid/siren lore versions out there.
I would like to start with the relationship evolution between the mother, Mira and her daughter, Targa. I felt a lot of angst when their relationship was sort of swapped. You read a lot of books with that role reversal when the characters live in a trailer. I cannot attest to that style of living, so perhaps it is the norm and I am just not as educated as I would like to think.

Here’s the deal, Curious One. I have a series of 6 books and two novellas which all deserve their own discussions. I am chomping at the bit with curiosity here, so we will do something a bit different. The next 8 discussions I post about will all be pertaining to the same series the Elemental Origins Series. And later on, I will discuss the curiosities I found and how much I liked…or didn’t like…the books.
The Elemental Origins Series is written by A.L Knorr. Born of Water, Born of Fire, Born of Earth, Born of Aether, Born of Air and The Elementals. The collection I got also includes two companion novellas, The Wreck of the Sybellen and Pyro; which I will also discuss later after the first six books.

Hey, Curious One! Dale Mayer has quickly become one of my new favorite paranormal/suspense authors! Her writing style is almost perfect and drew me in immediately with Tuesday’s Child! Today I’m writing about a book I just finished. It was originally published in 2011 and the series has grown to at least 16 novels. I deeply enjoy a series that is comprised of standalone novels which are all elegantly connected. I haven’t read the other books yet, but I hope they are as good as her first novel in the series!
The novel grips you from the first page. It begins with the main protagonist Samantha Blair. She is being held down by “phantom restraints” as it is revealed that this is not the first time it has happened to her.
