Reread Digging the Wolf – I promise It Get’s Better

digging the wolf

Phew!  We made it, Curious One!  We got through each of the five books in the Wolf Night’s collection!  I’m not sure I’ve ever read so many books in a row filled with shifting alpha male personas, but it was worth the experience. I have to say, my own curiosity has been fully satiated for now. Regarding the shifter world of alpha males, that is….  The fifth and final book in the collection is called Digging the Wolf by Steffanie Holmes.  At first glance, it is kind of dry and boring and grasping at some sort of storyline to drive the reader until the end.  However, I ended up reading it a second time before talking to you about it and it made up for some of my first impressions!  Let’s “dig” in!  😉

Savage Surrender Takes You by Surprise With Love at First Sight

savage surrender

Hey, hey Curious One!  I’m back at it here with the fourth book in the Wolf Nights collection, Savage Surrender: A Dire Wolves Mission by Ellis Leigh.  Super short and packed full of action, Savage Surrender wasn’t that bad!  It held all of the usual tropes that you find within a shifter book, but they weren’t too over-the-top!  You know what I’m talking about here.  Alpha commands that are obeyed unwillingly, hot and steamy sex, alpha personalities, fights to the death, mated to a stranger with one look, etc.

Chill Factor Keeps You Shivering Until The Killer is Revealed

chill factor

Hey Curious One!  It’s been a killer week for me, and I was desperate for a break from all these shifters!  I decided to dive into the world of Chill Factor by Sandra Brown.  She’s a new author for me, I’ve never read her work before.  I was a bit shocked to discover that Chill Factor was originally published in 2005!  I’ll explain why below as we dig into Brown’s world today.

Blooms of Consequence – Passion, Fear and Hard Choices

Blooms of Consequence

Well, we made it Curious One!  The final book of the Dusk Gate Chronicles that I have, Blooms of Consequence, did not disappoint!  Whoo!  There was so much going on!  At the end of the last book, Thorns of Decision, we were left wondering what would happen with the gate.  The four of them, Thoman, Linnea, Will and Quinn were going to accompany Nathaniel to Quinn’s world to keep Linnea safe from Tolliver’s kidnapping attempts.  However, before they could cross over, there were Philothean refugees camped out all over the area, so they were left to stay in the castle.

Breeana Puttroff’s Thorns of Decision Will Hit You Where It Matters

Thorns of Decision

Okay, Curious One.  I’m moving through the first four books of the Dusk Gate Chronicles by Breeana Puttroff fairly quickly!  They are crazy good reads!  This post is going to sort through the third book, Thorns of Decision.  If it wasn’t hinted at by the title, you are aware that some prickly instances may happen throughout the book.  Some hard feelings are felt, and some decisions are made that begin a trail of pain and new beginnings.

Mankind: Have a Nice Day! A Tale of Blood and Sweatsocks by Mick Foley

Have a Nice Day

I want to start off today by saying this was a unique adventure that couldn’t have gone more unexpected if I had planned it!  These last couple weeks I have been pretty busy and though it took me forever to get through, I absolutely loved it!  We are going through a unique curiosity for me… it’s called Mankind: Have a Nice Day! A Tale of Blood and Sweatsocks

I know, what a title, right?!  It was written by Mick Foley himself.  Now, if you aren’t aware of anything remotely involved with professional wrestling, this will be a unique curiosity to delve into.  It was unique to me even and I have if not a quiet and reserved passion for wrestling, I would definitely call it a respect for professional wrestling.
