Hey, hey Curious One! I’m back at it here with the fourth book in the Wolf Nights collection, Savage Surrender: A Dire Wolves Mission by Ellis Leigh. Super short and packed full of action, Savage Surrender wasn’t that bad! It held all of the usual tropes that you find within a shifter book, but they weren’t too over-the-top! You know what I’m talking about here. Alpha commands that are obeyed unwillingly, hot and steamy sex, alpha personalities, fights to the death, mated to a stranger with one look, etc.

Hey Curious One! It’s been a killer week for me, and I was desperate for a break from all these shifters! I decided to dive into the world of Chill Factor by Sandra Brown. She’s a new author for me, I’ve never read her work before. I was a bit shocked to discover that Chill Factor was originally published in 2005! I’ll explain why below as we dig into Brown’s world today.

This was a good one, Curious One! I took my own advice and did some research. I found a collection of five books, written by individual authors that all centered around shifters. The first book, Wolf’s Bane by Aimee Easterling revolves around two sisters who are secretly fox shifters (kitsune) and a particular alpha wolf who isn’t the leading alpha of the pack. I will try to keep these all a bit shorter than usual too.

Hey there Curious One! I have been spending long hours on the road recently and therefore, haven’t been able to read as often as usual. My spare time is filled with driving and gas stops instead of reading, so when I was browsing a thrift shop, I saw some audio books and, on a whim, I grabbed one! I have never been interested in audio books before. I prefer the feel of the paper between my fingers and the ability to voice the characters in my own head. However, spending 6+ hours on the road a couple times a month, I began to miss reading. So, I decided to give audio books a try!
First off, let me say that my car is an older model (1999) so it doesn’t come equipped with an aux cable (just a single disc CD player) which is why I want to specify that when I say audio book, I mean books on CD’s, not an audio file downloaded to my phone or a media player. Gotta go “old-school”! Hahah!
Written by Stephen White, The Siege is described as a pulse-pounding thriller. I may or may not fully agree with that. We will get into that in a moment…

I read this next book about a year ago now. I fell in love with not only the characters and world within the book, but the writing style as well! Initially, I planned on doing a quick skim of the pages just to get back into the zone of what was going on and then writing discussing it with you. However, I couldn’t skim! I love this book SO much that I ended up reading it all again, word-for-word! The book I am talking about is called The Chain, written by Adrian McKinty. I am going to do my best to keep this shorter than my previous curiosities because there has to be some mystery left. You MUST find this book Curious One!
First off, it is divided into two parts. All the Lost Girls and the Monster in the Labyrinth. Naturally, I will begin with part one.
